Welcome to a new blog which will feature articles on the lost rugby clubs (of mainly Yorkshire). I define a lost rugby club as one which no longer exists in playing rugby union, although the name may still be use by other rugby clubs, although these have little or no connection to the original club. I researched and wrote the articles originally for my 'Burglar Bill' newsletter which celebrates the history of Wakefield RFC, a club of which I was a member and which sadly joined the list of lost clubs in 2004.
